Lyrics:
There’s still a little bit of your taste
in my mouth
There’s still a little bit of you laced
with my doubt
It’s still a little hard to say
what's going on

There’s still a little bit of our ghost,
your witness
There’s still a little bit of your face
I haven't kissed
You step a little closer each day
That I can´t say what´s going on

Stones taught me to fly
Love, it taught me to lie
Life, it taught me to die
So it's not hard to fall
When you float like a cannonball

There’s still a little bit of our song
in my ear
There’s still a little bit of your words
I long to hear
You step a little closer to me
So close that I can´t see what´s going on

Stones taught me to fly
Love, it taught me to cry
So come on courage,
Teach me to be shy
'Cause its not hard to fall,
And I don't want to scare (you)
It's not hard to fall
And I don't want to lose
It's not hard to grow
When you know that you just don't know

Yeah Bizum, I've to post it (;

Easter

Happy Easter

Easter traditions in Australia

Australia has a different style of celebrating the Easter festivity. There are certain things that are specific to Australia. To say for example, in major part of Northern hemisphere, Easter bunny has a special importance related to Easter festivity. In fact, it is considered to be one of the most important symbols of Easter. But in Australia, Easter bunny is said to have a bad history of destroying the vegetable crops and owing to this, the Aussie people have found another alternative Easter symbol, namely Bilby. Easter traditions in Australia are truly unique. Read further to know about Easter customs in Australia…
Here are some ideas about Easter celebration in Australia:

  • In Australia, Easter is celebrated in the autumn season unlike other Northern hemisphere countries, where Easter falls in the springtime.
  • Easter celebration in Australia encompasses of church prayers, Easter bilby and not to forget the colored Easter eggs.
  • The specialty of Easter in Australia lies in the hosting of a unique agricultural show in Sydney known as "the Royal Easter Show", where the nation's best produce is exhibited. It also consists of displays of farm animals. Other highlights include firework, hosting of parades, joy rides, delicious food and other fun activities for kids.
  • Easter is a time for family gatherings. Men and women get together and have a gala time.
  • In Australia, instead of the rabbit, Bilby is considered to be one of the major symbols associated with Easter festivity. The reason of bunny rabbit being replaced by Bilby is that, the bunny rabbit is reported to have destroyed the agricultural crops.
  • In the reservoir of games, the hot favorite game is Egg Knocking.
  • Among Aussies, Easter celebration commences on Good Friday and ends up on Easter Monday.

Lu's favorite films

Hi everyone! :D

These are the trailers of my favorite films.

Yes, I know, they have nothing to do with each other and you probably won't like them at all (especially the second one), but well... don't ask me why I really love them.

The first one it's simply amazing. If you like mystery and suspense you have to watch it, honestly. You'll find the perfect crime. (;
The second one I just can't explain why I like it. It's a really funny and great story about one friendship that combined with love gave origin to an addicting risky game. It may sound crazy but it was the way they found to be happy. I guess that normal people won’t like it. It’s a little bit weird. --‘

I have other films that I actually love, almost as much I love these ones but this had the particularity that they had stayed in my mind throughout the years.

Comment:
I choose this phrases because they show us the reality, using a funny way.
Sometimes we take for guaranteed what we may lose in a second. Embrace life with honesty hard work and most of all LOVE. Share the happy moments but don't refuse the bad ones. Try to make a difference, learn with all that you do and give all you have because life wouldn't mean anything if you sit back and watch it pass you by.

Penguins

  • Penguins are a group of aquatic, flightless birds living almost exclusively in the southern hemisphere, especially in Antarctica. Highly adapted for life in the water, penguins have countershaded dark and white plumage, and their wings have become flippers. Most penguins feed on krill, fish, squid, and other forms of sealife caught while swimming underwater. They spend about half of their life on land and half in the oceans.

  • Although all penguin species are native to the southern hemisphere. They are not found only in cold climates, such as Antarctica. In fact, only a few species of penguin live so far south. Several species are found in the temperate zone, and one species, the Galápagos Penguin, lives near the equator.

  • The largest living species is the Emperor Penguins: adults average about 1.1 m tall and weigh 35 kg or more. The smallest penguin species is the Little Blue Penguin also known as the Fairy Penguin, which stands around 40 cm tall and weighs 1 kg. Among extant penguins, larger penguins inhabit colder regions, while smaller penguins are generally found in temperate or even tropical climates. Some prehistoric species attained enormous sizes, becoming as tall or as heavy as an adult human. These were not restricted to Antarctic regions; on the contrary, subantarctic regions harboured high diversity, and at least one giant penguin occurred in a region not quite 2,000 km south of the equator, in a climate decidedly warmer than today.

Poem

As coisas que amamos
as pessoas que amamos
são eternas até certo ponto:
Duram o infinito variável
no limite de nosso poder
de respirar a eternidade
Pensá-las é pensar que não acabam nunca,
dar-lhes moldura de granito;
De outra maneira se tornam absoluta
numa outra (maior) realidade.
Começam a esmaecer quando nos cansamos,
e todos nos cansamos, por um outro itinerário,
de aspirar a resina do eterno;
Já não pretendemos que sejam imperecíveis.
Restituímos cada ser e coisa à condição precária,
rebaixamos o amor ao estado de utilidade.
Do sonho eterno fica esse gozo acre
na boca ou na mente, sei lá, talvez no ar.

The future

We wake up suddenly...The alarm clock shows it's 5 am. We look around and we sense something is not right...We look at the alarm clock again and we open our eyes wide and startle when we see the calendar...It's the year 2110...
Each one of us was in their own houses. We run to our bedroom's windows...Our city was devastated...No one walking in the streets...We got dressed very quickly and we run to the street to investigate. We live in the same street so we went together. After some time, we realized that there was just 3 people...we!
We took the van to go to the near city (Ciih was driving) and there we found the 3 Gents with some bootles of water and a guitar. They joined us in our research around our country playing guitar. Forwards we found the Situations. They had bagpacks with food. They had found Smile & Tears and Vianpe. We get them together a few miles forwards. They had material for camping like tents, sleeping bags and matches...
All together we formed a nomad society that saved the humans from the extintion!

Games

Nowadays most of young people are addicted to every kind of games, most of the games they play is computer games, Playstation, Nintendo… The objective is kill the enemy, lots of blood and with that they could get violent and consider death like a normal thing.

Traditional games were very popular formerly but they have been losing popularity among children. The objective of those games was to educate and to entertain. They are important for children because they ask for different skills and they stimulate their imagination alouding many adaptations. They are also games when they learn them, they play them spontaneously. Besides that, it’s fundamental that children know them, because it’s part of our culture and it would be sad if we lose them!

Margarida's Story - The Time Machine

He had been working at it for years as his father and grandfather before him, he knew that if he was persistent he would get there eventually. As he contemplated the device he felt pride and joy for was to fulfil his liftime dream - to travel in time.

He was so excited to finish his machine that he couldn't wait no more time! He turn on the button and BUM! An explosion of colourfull lights filled the room.
When he opened his eyes he is in other world!
Everything was green. All the pretty things you can imagined were there! The sound of that world was different than the real world. This sound was only the sound of the nature, a peaceful sound. Everyone was smiling. The love between people was visible and the smiles on their faces showed how happy that people were.
Arthur was looking for something that said him what place was that. He met Caroline, a young pretty and nice girl. Arthur stayed in her house, a house that was natural, the water came from a source, the food was all grown in a pure land... Nothing was manipulated.
Arthur stayed in that world, a world call DREAM, a old world where everything was respected, for a few months. He fell in love by Caroline. He was so happy like never been before!
He had to decide if he wanted to live in DREAM, with the new love, or if he wanted go back to the FAKE WORLD.
Arthur decided that his happiness was there so he destroyed the machine because the purpose of it was completed: He found a place where he wanted to live and where he was really loved !

Lu's Story - I

I followed the evil scientist in to a dark room. What I saw, I would never forget…
We were in the end of the 40’s, and the World War Two had just finally ended few years ago. We’d already noticed that that terrible Dr. Victor Lebow, some corporations and the government were involved in a conspiracy, and we were trying to figure out what was about since the beginning. So, in that day, after many months of research work about the location of their secret store, secret passages and hidings, we follow the scientist until that dark room: the hall of the store. It was totally empty, and the floor was totally full of dust. We know, from outside studies, that it would lead us to the main lab of the store. So we’ve waited that the scientist came out again (in taken no longer than half an hour) and, when he finally left (loaded with papers and one huge folder flak) we could get in to the lab. It was full of beakers and vials and tiny little glass tubes, all of them full of purple and green and red viscous substances that smoked stinky gases; it was a sick mad atmosphere in there, it was absolutely insane. It was on the basement, so it was all light up artificially, with really old lamps, full with died mosquitoes. Right in the center, it was one huge mouse case with a lot of mouses in there. We came closer and became shocked with what we saw: the mouses didn’t stop eating! They were eating and eating and eating as faster they can and they just don’t stop. It was awful. Behind, there was a blackboard full of numbers and counts and formulas all written and corrected and full with arrows and some other complicate stuff. Then, on the left, we found one cabinet. We opened it; it had dollar notes, one garbage, magazines, televisions and, in the middle, one safe-deposit box, that was strangely opened. Inside, there was nothing…

Lu's Story - II

We were desolated. So many months of hard work for absolutely nothing! Well, there was no much more we could do, so we went out again, sad as never. As we were going upstairs, we were so tired that Annie stumbled in a rusty spray can that had a curious “C” on it. When we finally went out there was a really strange mist in there. It looked like a gas or something and it has a nauseating smell. We started to feel dizzy but we didn’t take much care about it because we think it was just tiredness.
We couldn’t give up, so we made more planes and everything, starting from zero, to descover and put an end on that conspiracy; but were so exhausted, that as soon as we arrived home we fell asleep, waiting for the new day to start all over. We would never imagine that it would be already too late…

Lu's Story - III

When we woke up next day, things were a bit different that how we “left” them: they looked old, not enough good for use and outdated. We find it really weird, but when we went outside with our clothes (that suddenly started to don’t match with each other and that were full of defects that we hadn’t noticed at all until that day) and saw that it had happened not only in our houses but with everybody, we started panic. Even my t-shirt that I had just bought on the previous day because I had a crush on it looked old and ugly!
Until that day, with the end of the war, life in the United States had began to return to normal: Soldiers began to came home and find peacetime jobs, industry stopped producing war equipment and began to produce goods that made peacetime life pleasant… People lived happy with what they had, things had a long durability and we used to use them as much as we can because we knew how life was hard because of the war. The American economy had everything to become perfect.
Well, sometimes “perfect” isn’t enough so, still government and corporations weren’t enough happy about it. Unfortunately, we had realized it too late. In fact, things only went worse and worse; people had to shopping almost every day, and it was never enough. We just shopped and shopped and shopped and we couldn’t stop. All Americans were becoming addicted. And with all that (things that weren’t never enough, that get old too fast), there was more and more garbage per capita, and we don’t even remember anymore from that conspiracy.

The Strange Machine

My uncle is an inventor. One day I was looking around through the attic of my uncle's house. I found a very strange machine with many buttons, knobs, dials and switches. I had never seen a machine like that. On one side was a button that said "on"...
When I pushed that button, the machine started to make a lot of noise and moving around. When I saw what that machine could do, I couldn't believe...
On the other side it had a list of meals like hamburguer with french fries, meatloaf, pizza... That machine coul make our meals! It was like a restaurant at home! My uncle was very proud of that invention and so do I, it made my life easier!
